camera’s & devices, and an 802.11 wireless network.
Project timeline: 2008 – 2009.
Designed and managed the installation of a fiber optic backbone
to connect 59 Simplex 4100U fire panels (located throughout
campus in separate buildings) creating a redundant fiber loop
between panels. The design will integrate their fire alarm
reporting system which will provide the local fire department
with real time network access to every fire panel on the Oberlin
College Campus. The new network will connect 57 buildings in a logical
loop configuration to ensure reliability. Project timeline:
2007 – 2008.

in the design of an 802.11g radio network for 6 of Oberlin
College’s buildings as well as coverage for outside areas at
their football & baseball fields. Project timeline: 2008.
Designed a campus telecommunications system for Oberlin
College. This design includes a new IP/enabled telephone system
with voice mail, ACD and hospitality software (for the Oberlin
Inn), and a campus cabling distribution system (buried and
aerial) to include fiber optic and copper cabling between and
within 85 buildings. Project timeline: 2003 – 2004.

infrastructure as part of a multi-million dollar renovation of
their newly acquired West Hills Center. The design
consists of over 600 new Cat-6 drops, a fiber and copper
backbone, & Telecommunications rooms. Project timeline:
2006 – 2007.
Designed the cabling infrastructure for the new CELL building
for the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI).
The cabling design consists of 50 cat-6 drops and rack front
views.

University of Ohio. This network will allow students, faculty,
& staff to connect to the College’s network from any location on
campus basically creating an all-wireless campus. The wireless
design consisted of residence halls, administration buildings,
and outside areas. The design included 800+ access points
throughout 126 buildings, and outside areas.
Inspected Marietta College's existing infrastructure as well as all their
telecom rooms for compatibility with VOIP phone system.
Designed and created a business case analysis for a campus wide
single-mode fiber distribution backbone for Marietta College in
Ohio. The design would be able to support 33 buildings with
voice, data, and video. Conducted a business case analysis and
preliminary design of a campus wide copper backbone for
replacing the existing Centrex service with a PBX.
