WTCI designed a voice over IP telephony system to replace the existing Centrex system
for Franciscan University of Steubenville.
The University upgraded its data network to a 10Gigabit
backbone over single mode fiber. Telecommunications rooms are
being upgraded to facilitate the new equipment and fiber is
being extended to buildings previously not served. We assisted in the design of a renovated data center on campus.
The reliance upon the data network for voice and data has also
driven the desire to install an 802.16 broadband radio network
as a back up to the fiber optic network.
